Electro-Harmonix added a new chapter to their POG saga (launched in 2005) with the POG3, the mother of all Polyphonic Octave Generator pedals, capable of generating up to five voices plus your root tone – and arranging them in stereo.
Previous versions of the POG were already tried and true creative machines, and the POG3 expands the format by adding
- an extra voice one 5th above on top of the four octaves found in the previous version,
- an Input Gain complementing the Master Volume for saturated tones,
- enhanced multimode Filter with Envelope Control,
- a Spread knob also delivers a new, stereo effect to the familiar Detune function,
- an OLED screen for easier navigation of presets and parameter
- illuminated sliders.
The Preset system is also greatly improved in the POG3, which can store up to 100 customizable tones which can be edited and transferred via the free EHXport desktop app.
Fulliy Midi compatible, the Electro-Harmonix POG3 also features USB-C connection and Expression Input.
