The Mud Killer is the first pedal by Electric Eye Audio. This highly configurable overdrive/boost delivers tons of gain and definition by cutting selected frequencies before the signal hits the overdrive. Several knobs and toggle switches allow you to tweak your tone to perfection including the amount of low end (fat/skinny knob), the level of compression and there’s even an “off/on” switch that lets you use the pedal’s tonal features without the overdrive section engaged.
Company owner Silas Fernandes walked us through its functions at the NAMM 2020 show in the video below, but the Electric Eye Mud Killer had already received an unexpected endorsement from metal-pedal video celebrity Ola Englund in the video underneath.
