Echo Park is the area in L.A. where most musicians live, but also the home of Echopark Instruments, a company that handcrafts vintage looking and sounding guitars, amps and pedals.

The FQ12 Dual Range-Bastard is their second pedal, a double effect with a boost/drive on the right and an EQ boost featuring a 6-way frequency selector on the left. Through the toggle switch in the center of the pedal, the EQ can be pushed at 50% or 100%.

According to the manufacturer, the unit can give access to tones ranging “from a Revolver-era Vox tone to Any Brian May tone and everything else you could ever wish to hear a vintage range master accomplish.”
