Just a few weeks ago, BOSS announced three stompboxes from a new pedal line, the 200 Series, but if you thought that was their Summer NAMM 2019 launch, you were mistaken. The Japanese brand introduced another two new products at the Nashville event: the SY-1 compact synth pedal and the RC 10-R Rythm Loop Station.
The BOSS SY-1 is a polyphonic, note-tracking pedal that offers the same technology as the SY-300 but in a smaller case, sporting 11 sound types, each with 11 variations, for a total of a whopping 121 synth sounds.
The pedal also features ways to control the sound live through a momentary footswitch function and expression pedal out that can be used to control various parameters.
