Portland, Oregon’s pedal builder Blammo! enriches its offering of pedals inspired by vintage classics with the Skronk Machine, a modernized version of the Zonk Machine fuzz, known for producing a thick and saturated fuzz tone.
Updated with hand-tuned NOS Russian NPN germanium transistors, this pedal sports a no-click footswitch than can can work as a momentary switch when held down – rather than hit. On top of the original’s controls for Swell (output) & Fuzz (gain), the Skrunk Machine also features a Tone knob that works as a high-cut filter to tame the fuzz’s harsher frequencies to taste.
