The Walrus Audio Xero Polylooper redefines live looping with two fully independent stereo channels, offering unprecedented creative control for performers and composers. Each channel provides 3-minute recording, unlimited overdubs, and real-time manipulation via speed adjustment (0.5x–2x), reverse playback, and individual panning. Here are some of the pedal’s most intriguing features. Intuitive Gesture Control: Tap/hold/double-press footswitches for recording, undo, speed FX, and channel toggling External dual-stomp compatibility for simultaneous multi-channel control Three Sync Modes: Sync: Time-aligned loops Unsynced: Independent lengths Poly: Polyrhythms (3:4, 5:7) with MIDI clock support Performance-Ready Visuals: Multicolor LEDs for instant status feedback (recording, playback, FX) Auto-bypass when idle preserves dry signal Advanced Integration Stereo I/O with per-channel panning 1/8″ MIDI In/Thru (Type A) for sync/remote control USB-C for firmware updates The Xero excels at complex layering and on-the-fly remixing, bridging the gap between live improvisation and studio precision. Whether crafting polyrhythmic textures or practice loops, its gesture-based workflow eliminates menu-diving. A game-changer for loop artists seeking flexibility without complexity.... In the world of ambient pedals, Walrus Audio is a name synonymous with lush, atmospheric soundscapes. But with their limited-edition (and sadly, already sold-out) Walrus Audio Lüm, they’ve moved beyond reverb and into the realm of luminous, living texture. This isn’t just another ambient pedal; it’s a compact laboratory for sonic exploration, blending the best of granular synthesis, reverb, and reverse effects into one inspiring package. Think of the Lüm as a three-in-one portal to otherworldly sounds: Mode I: Grain Cloud: Here, your notes are shattered into a shimmering constellation of digital fragments. It creates a swirling, glitchy halo around your playing, where the X Knob lets you control the size of these fragments—from a fine, sparkling mist to large, looping stutters. Mode II: Grain Verb: This mode is like if those digital fragments were washed in a vast, ethereal ocean. The grains are pulled from a reverb tank, creating a diffuse, atmospheric pad that feels both granular and deeply spacious. A pro tip? Run this mode into a drive pedal for massively textured, collapsing walls of sound. Mode III: Forward Reverse Verb: A truly hypnotic mode that pits a forward reverb against a reverse reverb, creating a playful, rhythmic […]... Click on the title for more
Remember when the original BeatBuddy changed the game for solo artists everywhere? Well, clear some space on your pedalboard, because its successor, the Beat Buddy 2, has arrived, and it’s packed with upgrades that feel less like an update and more like a revolution. Think of the BeatBuddy 2 as your ultra-responsive, infinitely patient drummer in a box. It’s taken everything you loved about the first one and cranked it to eleven. The first thing you’ll notice is the bigger, brighter screen, making it a breeze to see your song sections and patterns live. But the real magic is the new Autopilot mode. This is your secret weapon for seamless live performances. It intelligently runs fills and transitions, creating a dynamic backing track that actually follows you. No more robotic, predictable loops—just solid, human-feel rhythm that lets you focus on your playing. And speaking of human feel, the expanded sound library is insane. We’re talking 220+ styles and 24 genres, all recorded by pro drummers in pristine 24-bit stereo. It’s the kind of authentic sound that makes audiences peek behind the stage to see where the drummer is hiding. Want even more control? The new multiports let you plug in […]... In 1982, Tom Scholz of Boston fame unveiled the Rockman X100, a headphone amplifier that encapsulated the soaring, chorus-drenched guitar tones of 1980s arena rock. The sound of that device is reborn in the MXR Rockman X100—a compact, modern homage to Scholz’s design based on the same MN3007 bucket brigade chip.... Click on the title for more

Let's be honest. In a world of pristine transparent overdrives and perfectly modeled amp simulators, our pedalboards can sometimes get a little… predictable. We crave something with character, something that fights back, something that introduces a little anarchy into our signal chain.... Click on the title for more
