The Ms. Delayette by Italian builder TEFI Vintage Lab is a quirky-looking but great-sounding analog echo inspired by the vintage magnetic units of the ’60s like Binson Echorec, Echolette NG51S and Maestro Echoplex EP-1.
It features two modulation modes, one standard and one using a more random wave, and an expression output that can either be used to control the modulation time or with a momentary switch for self-oscillation.

The soul of a veteran magnetic echo today lives enclosed in a modern boutique pedal. Mistress Delayette, queen of Germanic beauty in the 60s and today an elderly lady still very attractive, symbolizes the still current charm of echo an reverb sounds typical of vintage magnetic units such as Binson Echorec, Echolette NG51S and Maestro Echoplex EP-1. In the machines of that period, high fidelity of repetitions was sought; because of the mechanical nature, without an accurate and constant maintenance, these effects tend to have problems related to the dragging of the tape, generating unique and distinctive sounds. The TEFI Lab research team has created an echo/reverb pedal effect with a Hi-Fi response, but with the possibility of being altered by simulating the aging of the machine with the WOW and FLUTTER commands, completely analog and specially calibrated in order to obtain the maximum realism of reproduction.

It is possible to connect two external controls: an expression pedal allows to change the frequency of repetitions, the “motor speed”, while with a switch-momentary pedal it is possible to trigger instantaneous self-oscillation (feedback). Ms. Delayette is wondering to take you to unexplored worlds, in a recipe of naturalness of sound, versatility and richness of functions.
