An original design, the Mattoverse Warble Swell Echo MkII is an unusual take on the lo-fi, modulated echo by a manufacturer who has demonstrated a special and consistent interest in creative and quirky circuits.
It’s a vintage-voiced echo/delay with a dynamic foot-controllable Swell feature and gooey tape-like modulation. It provides echo/delay times that range from short clean slapbacks to long (up to 800ms) warm analog-esque repeats. The onset of the Swell effect can also be controlled through a separate knob.
A rotary Wave knob selects between 8 shapes for the modulation’s LFO. This section can deliver anything from subtle tape-like flutters to seasick warbles to random madness.
MkII delivers the same goodness features in the original, in a smaller, compact enclosure, with the added bonus of the 8 modulation waves, not available in MkI.
