The thing about modulation effects, is that you normally don’t use more than one at a time, which makes a pedal like the Matthews Effects The Botanist – a simple 3-knob multi-modulation pedal offering Phaser, Chorus, and Harmonic Tremolo – very handy.
The controls are as straightforward as it gets, with knobs for Mix, Rate and Depth, and a 3-way switch that selects the type of modulation.
What’s not immediately apparent from the (gorgeous) case, however, is the (6) Preset and Midi capabilities.
