Spotted on the pedalboard of Welsh blue guitarist Chris Buck well before its release, the Thorpy FX Electric Lightning is a dynamic and articulate tube overdrive with a peculiar boost section.
The pedal gives players a lot of room for sculpting their tone through a 3-way EQ section and also through an extra Lows knob linked to the boost, a feature requested by Buck to fatten up cleans (when only the boost is on) or give extra saturation to the valve overdrive section (when the drive is engaged).
The Electric Lightning operates at 12v for extra headroom.
