Uniquely inspired by a… beer (the FVZZ IPA by Bellingham, WA’s Structures Brewing) the Spun Loud Effects Structures Fvzz is a two-stage, handmade fuzz circuit with germanium clipping and plenty of gain on tap.
The peculiar circuit allows tons of flexibility and can act as an overdrive at lower gain settings, while still always keen to deliver plenty of volume to push your amp into the edge of breakup (and beyond).
The two stages offer a different type of tone, which can be blended to taste, therefore opening up a horizon of sonic options:
- Stage 1 uses Germanium hard clipping to provide instant fuzz gratification
- Stage II combines an LED with a Darlington transistor to give a milder drive with more actual volume when turned up.
The Tone control mostly affects the high frequencies, for a warmer or edgier tone.
