Hailing from Melbourne, Australia (a big geographical disadvantage for any musical instrument manufacturer), Poly is one of the handful of brands currently driving innovation in the stompbox realm. The Ample is their (stereo) take on the amp/cab sim pedal.
A knobless and toggle-less device, the Ample offers 56 modeled guitar and bass amp tones in a compact design for live or studio setups, delivering clean tones, vintage classics, and high-gain options through an intuitive and playful touch interface based on high-res step LED sliders.
The amp tones include cab simulations and are grouped into 7 categories, each one with 8 presets: Clean, Crunch, Destroy, Classic USA, Classic UK, Gen X and Bass. Each one of them can be tweaked and saved in place for easy recall next time you access it.
You can customize gain, output, and EQ to suit your sound, and add some ambiance dialing in a reverb based on the acoustics of St Albans Cathedral. Save your tones as presets and control them with MIDI for easy access.
A neat feature of this pedal is the Split mode that lets you use two different amps in each output channel
Ample also features a headphone output, making it ideal for practice and portable use.
