Hangman FX Meteoric Echo Monster

Hand-built in Los Angeles, CA, the Hangman FX Meteoric Echo Monster, depicted here in the (gorgeous) limited pink edition but normally available in white, is an analog-voiced delay with dual modulations, a boost, a momentary mode, and a host of noisy tricks up its sleeve.

Thanks to its depth of controls, including some knobs with push down function and the Dry Kill footswitch, this pedal can create a wide variety of effects beyond the expected delay or tape-style echo, including chorus, vibrato, double-tracking, & lo-fi tape simulation.

Speaking of voicing, an internal switch can change the delay voice from a clean delay to a tape echo one.

The Modulation section is particularly deep. Depth and Speed can be assigned to several LFO shapes (synchable via Tap Tempo by rhythmically pressing the Speed knob) and features secondary modulation controls, like a 3-way Intensity toggle at the bottom.

Pushing the Level knob will trigger self-oscillation, while pressing the Repeats one will create a Freeze effect, but there’s also another momentary mode activated by holding down the right footswitch.

Lots of really interesting features in this utterly inspiring delay pedal, which earned a place in our article about the best Crazy, Cool and Weird Delay Pedals in the Creative Lo-Fi Delay Pedals section and Advanced Delays with Unusual Features.
