The Electro-Harmonix Pico Swello brings one of the most musical features of the classic POG2 – its polyphonic attack envelope – into a mini, standalone pedal. Unlike standard volume swells that affect the entire signal, the Swello applies an independent attack envelope to each individual note within a chord, creating rich, adaptive, and highly expressive swells perfect for everything from smooth arpeggios to ambient pads.
Control is intuitive: the ATTACK knob adjusts swell time from quick to gradual, while VOL compensates for perceived volume loss. The integrated low-pass filter adds further texture, with a FREQ knob to set cutoff, a MOD control to dictate sweep depth and direction, and a FILTER button to engage the circuit and select resonance modes. The filter’s modulation timing is intelligently synced to the attack envelope for cohesive, musical phrasing.
Housed in a tiny case (like the other pedals in the Pico series), the Swello offers sophisticated polyphonic expression in a simple, portable format ideal for dynamic players.
