The Does it Doom? Doomsaw distortion is a pedal built by a musician running a popular website and YouTube channel dedicated to gear for metal-related genres. It’s a variation of the BOSS HM-2 tweaked for a better low-end.
It’s slightly less aggressive than the original but delivers a better low-end for bass or guitars with low tuning, making it perfect for a fatter version of the famed “chainsaw” sound.
It only has one knob controlling the gain of the distortion, while the three knobs found on the HM-2 were (figuratively speaking) set to 10 and… removed!
