The Strymon Riverside was certainly one of the most anticipated pedals of 2016, if anything because it represented the first take on distortion from a manufacturer that was able, in recent years, to redefine the stompbox format for pretty much any other kind of effect, from modulation to delay to reverb.
A couple of months ago, Strymon’s own demos made guitarists salivate, but we are finally getting some video reviews for a final litmus test, and the responses so far seem as positive as expected. Here are two of them: the first one, from Rob Chapman’s The Andertones show, is loads of fun and in line with the Christmas spirit.
