Between April 18th and April 28th over 40 guitar pedals will be auctioned off through eBay with 100% of the proceeds going to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to help treat children with cancer, and to fund cancer research.

This group of pedal builders, called Circuits to Cure Cancer, was organized by Blake Hickey of Blakemore Effects in February of 2013. The list of builders includes Analogman, Dr. Scientist, Earthquaker Devices, Paul C., Strymon, Wampler, Z. Vex, and dozens of others. Even a few famous musicians like Keith Urban, and Annie Clark of St. Vincent have offered to help by signing pedals. For a full list of pedals/companies, visit Circuits to Cure Cancer or facebook.com/.

St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital’s mission is “to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.” The results of the research done at St. Jude’s are freely shared with other hospitals, and no family is required to pay for treatment. Consequently, it costs $1.8 million per day to run the hospital, “primarily covered by public contributions.”

The list of guitar pedals on its own is impressive, but now it’s up to everyone to help spread the word, and bid on these auctions so this fine organization can continue to run.
