UK’s TateFX is a boutique pedal builder that specializes in quality, hand-built dirt boxes and accessories that’s gained considerable attention since its 2014 debut.
The Antares is a “mid-pushed” overdrive inspired by classic Japanise designs and it’s based on a Hi-Fi grade Burr Brown opamp.

TateFX Antares Overdrive, Builder’s Notes
The Antares Overdrive is my attempt to create the perfect mid pushed overdrive. Taking influence from a couple of my favourite Japanese overdrives and tweaking until I was happy I came up with this.
Featuring a Hi-Fi grade Burr Brown opamp this overdrive really hits home with warm gain tones through to pushed mid tones. The ‘Clean’ control lets you blend your clean signal into your drive tone. This is great to retain clarity or certain bass frequencies that a mid-pushed drive can tend to remove.
As with all TateFX pedals the Antares features hi-grade, Panasonic and Wima capacitors, 1% metal film resistors, heavy duty Alpha footswitches and premium Lumberg jacks.
