LPD Sixty8X Overdrive

The LPD Sixty8X is a limited-edition 10th-anniversary evolution of the 2016 Sixty8 Drive. This Marshall-style overdrive and preamp preserves the original’s tonal identity while refining its internal circuitry for a more authentic 1968-inspired amplifier response.

Central to the redesign is an updated phase inverter clipping circuit that more closely replicates the dynamics and drive characteristics of its vintage reference amp. The green and red channels are individually voiced to match this source, delivering two distinct gain structures. The green channel offers a dynamic, low-gain response for edge-of-breakup and classic crunch tones, while the red channel provides increased saturation and low-end weight for higher-gain leads.

Channel switching is managed by a dual-mode footswitch: a standard press bypasses the effect, while a 300ms press-and-hold toggles between channels, indicated by an LED color change.

A full 4-band tone stack—Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence—expands tonal flexibility dramatically, allowing for detailed amp-style EQ shaping. Dedicated Gain and Level controls adjust overdrive and output volume. An internal trimmer also lets users balance the levels between the two channels. Housed in a pedalboard-friendly unit with top-mounted jacks and relay true bypass with last-state memory, the Sixty8X is a versatile and refined tribute to a classic era.
