Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay

Finland knows cold. Finland knows silence. And apparently Finland knows delay.

The Deep Blue Delay is back in the Handwired series, and it’s the same natural-sounding digital delay with an analog direct path. No filtering on the dry signal. No noise reduction circuits gumming up the decay. Just echo that fades the way echo should fade, like a voice trailing off in a long hallway.

Controls are simple because they don’t need to be complicated. Level, Delay, Repeat. That’s it. The delay time runs from 25 to 450 milliseconds. One repeat at minimum feedback, infinite oscillation at max. Everything between is where the music lives.

It works clean. It works distorted. It goes before the amp, after the amp, in the loop. Doesn’t matter. The tuned filtering on the echo signal lets you push extreme settings without everything turning into digital garbage. It lands somewhere between vintage tape and analog delay, without pretending to be either.

Built in Finland. Handwired. Through-hole components. Alpha pots. Switchcraft jacks. Top-mounted jacks in a custom sheet metal box. No corners cut, no boards stuffed by machines in a warehouse somewhere.

Lifetime warranty. Made by people who care. Plug it in and disappear into the space between notes.

P.S. If you want it not handwired (aka factory-built), you can have it at about 1/3rd of the price.
