We know that for many small pedal and synth builders, the biggest hurdle to exhibiting isn’t our booth rates—it’s the cost of traveling to NYC. We want to change that. This year, we’re introducing some targeted discounted rates, along with insider tips to stretch your budget—and maybe even sneak in some fun.

How to Cut Costs Without Cutting Corners

  1. Check the Discounted Rates for First-Time and “Flying-In” Exhibitors.
  2. Travel Smart:
Arrive Saturday morning. Setup is quick, and doors open at 12 PM—just get to the venue by 11 AM, and you’re golden. Skip the Friday hotel stay and extra cab rides.
Leave Sunday evening. The show ends at 5 PM, so book a late flight or hit the road right after. No need for another night in the city.
  3. Rooms for Under $200/night:
Brooklyn hotels can be pricey, but Flushing, Queens (15 min by car) or New Jersey (just over the bridge) often have rooms under $200/night.
  4. Share the Load:
This year, we’ll compile a public list of builders interested in splitting Airbnbs or rideshares. Once you’re confirmed, you can team up to save on lodging and transport.
  5. Treat Yourself to a Working Vacation:
NYC is one of the world’s top destinations—and since your travel is deductible, why not extend your stay? More about this here.

Why It’s Worth It
Yes, NYC trips add up—but the Expo is a rare chance to connect with artists, retailers, and press in person, all while testing your gear on real players. We don’t want budget worries to keep your creations stuck at home.
