Black Cat Monster K-Fuzz

The Kay Fuzztone was a quirky, cheap looking, treadle-based fuzz pedal from the 60’s. It sounded quite unique though, and Black Cat pedals has ushered this idea into the modern era (and developed it further) with their Monster-K, an octave fuzz that is capable of complete sonic mayhem. The pedal's first…... Click for more

After winning The Deli's Best of 2015 LA Poll for Emerging Artist, in 2016 James Supercave went on to deliver on that "promise" with their perfect 2016 full length debut 'Better Strange.' This is one of those bands able to marry, in their songs, utter catchiness with a tense darkness and an overall enigmatic aura. We…... Click for more

Pedal to the Metal: Keeley Filaments

New releases by Keeley Electronics always tickle the wallet of many pedal aficionados. We are detecting an above average amount of buzz for the company's new high gain distortion that's about to drop in stores, called Filaments, maybe because the stompbox in question doesn't have one, nor two, but THREE stages of gain, which,…...
