Amplifire takes amp emulation to the next level

The world of guitar amp emulations continues to see innovative new products, and Amplifire, born from the collaboration between Atomic Amplifiers and Studio Devil, has been gathering a lot of attention since its launch in 2015.

This stompbox blends highly realistic amplifier simulations, effects modeling, and speaker impulses into one compact, road-friendly unit.

One of the best features of the AmpliFire is its versatility. The effect is equally at home dialing in crushing metal tones or sublime country twang. AmpliFire also plays very well with stompboxes (it will be the official amp emulation unit of our upcoming Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit), but also rack gear, and any other rig elements you might want to incorporate. The circuit design responds really well to all types of pickups – a feature not present on all amp sims. Anything from single-coils to high-output active pickups sounds right at home.

Some great I/O routing features are available from MIDI, balanced stereo outputs, mono unbalanced, and USB connection for working with presets, which can be manipulated through a software application via PC or Mac. 3 footswitches allow for accessing 3 saved tones on the fly, but many more can be banked for later use. Editing sounds via the pedal interface is pretty intuitive, but the bundled software makes this process even easier.
